ServicesEmergency HVAC Repair
Emergency HVAC Repair in Oakesdale
When your furnace quits at 2 a.m. or the AC dies on a holiday weekend, we answer the phone. We find what actually failed, tell you in writing what it costs, and get your home heating or cooling again. There are no emergency or after-hours fees.

What counts as an HVAC emergency
An emergency is any failure that makes your home unsafe or hard to live in until it is fixed. No heat in a hard freeze. A burning or gas smell from the furnace. No cooling with a baby, an older parent or someone sick in the house. Water pouring from the indoor unit. Those calls should not wait until Monday.
A rushed repair at night is still a repair, and it has to be the right one. Our tech tests the system before touching parts. A furnace that won't light might have a bad flame sensor, a failed igniter, a tripped limit switch or a clogged condensate line. Each looks the same from the thermostat. Swapping parts until something works wastes your money, so we test first and replace only what failed.
If the problem can wait for a regular visit, we will tell you that honestly. Then you can book standard furnace repair or AC repair at a better time for you.

What an emergency visit includes
- 01
A phone call that gets answered
Day, night, weekend or holiday, a person picks up. We ask what the system is doing so the tech arrives with the right parts on the truck.
- 02
Safety check first
If there is a gas smell, a cracked heat exchanger or scorched wiring, we make it safe before anything else. That can mean shutting off the furnace or the gas supply to it until the repair is done.
- 03
Full diagnosis
We check power, controls, ignition, airflow, refrigerant pressures and drainage as needed. You hear what we found in plain words, and we can show you the worn or burned part.
- 04
A written quote before work begins
You see the price on paper before we start. Say yes to the repair and the money you paid for the diagnosis comes off the final bill.
- 05
Repair and test run
We fix the cause, then run the system through a full cycle to confirm it heats or cools the way it should.
- 06
Labor warranty
Every repair carries a 1-year labor warranty. If the same work fails, we come back and redo it.
Questions about Emergency HVAC Repair?
Call(509) 584-4328Signs you should call tonight, not next week
Gas or rotten-egg smell
Leave the house, then call the gas utility. Once it is safe, call us to find the source at the furnace.
No heat in freezing weather
In an eastern Washington cold snap, a house can drop fast and pipes can freeze. A dead furnace in January is worth a night call.
Burning smell or smoke
That hot electrical odor often comes from an overheating motor or a scorched wire. Shut the system down, then flip its breaker off at the panel.
Water leaking from the unit
A clogged drain or frozen coil can soak floors and ceilings. Shut the system off to stop more water.
Breaker keeps tripping
Don't keep resetting it. Repeated trips point to a shorted part or a seized compressor.
Carbon monoxide alarm
Get everyone outside and call 911. After the fire department clears the house, we inspect the furnace and venting.
How an emergency call goes
- 1
You call and tell us what's happening
We ask a few quick questions and give you safety steps if needed, like shutting off power or water.
- 2
The tech arrives and diagnoses
We protect your floors, find the failed part and look for whatever caused it to fail. A capacitor that burned out from a weak motor will burn out again if the motor is left alone.
- 3
You get a written quote
We explain the options and the price. Nothing starts until you say yes.
- 4
We repair, test and clean up
Most common parts ride on the truck. If a part has to be ordered, we will try to get you some heat or cooling in the meantime and tell you when we will be back.
What moves the price of an emergency repair
You pay the same rates at midnight as at noon, because we charge no emergency or after-hours fees. What changes the price is the repair itself. You get the number in writing before we start.
- The part that failed
- A capacitor or flame sensor costs far less than a blower motor, control board or compressor.
- What caused it
- Sometimes one failed part damaged another. Fixing both costs more but keeps you from a second call.
- Age and type of equipment
- Older or uncommon systems can need parts that are harder to find. Heat pumps and furnaces also use different parts.
- Leaks in a cooling system
- When an AC or heat pump has lost its charge, the tech has to track down where it escaped and seal it before recharging. That takes extra time and material.
Emergency repair questions
Do you really charge the same at night?
Yes. We have no emergency or after-hours fees. A repair at 3 a.m. on a Sunday is priced the same as one on a Tuesday afternoon.
How do I know you aren't just upselling me in a panic?
You get a written quote before any work begins, and we show you the failed part. If a simple repair will get you through, we say so. We bring up replacement only when the repair doesn't make sense, and you can take time to decide.
Should I repair tonight or wait to replace the system?
Often a repair gets you safe and comfortable now, and you can think about replacement later. If you do want to look at new equipment, estimates are free on furnace installation and AC installation.
What credentials do you carry for night work?
The same ones we carry during the day. We are licensed and bonded in Washington, and our $1M general liability insurance covers every job, including calls in the middle of the night.
What should I do while I wait for the tech?
For a gas smell, get out and call the gas utility. For water leaks or burning smells, switch the system off and cut its power at the panel. In a cold house, close off unused rooms and keep faucets dripping.
Is the repair covered if it fails again?
Yes. All repairs come with a 1-year labor warranty. If our work fails in that time, we fix it again at no labor cost.

No heat or no cooling right now?
Call us any hour. We'll find what failed, quote it in writing and fix it with no after-hours fees.
